Introduction

ADWAVE is an annual project organized by the persuasive students of the School of Communication, Universiti Sains Malaysia,Pulau Pinang.


Introduced in 1997, this event was initially intended to expose students to the world of advertising through the exhibition of the Kancil Award winning advertisements.
Since then, ADWAVE has now extended beyond this purpose. It not only serves as an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills that they have gained throughout their university years but more importantly, ADWAVE is a platform for the exchange of ideas between the students and the advertising professionals (hence the acronym "creating waves in advertising").  
It aims to create dynamic exchange and network between the academe and the industry. In fact, ADWAVE has established itself as a landmark activity for advertising students in universities and colleges, not only within the country, but also in the region.
