Munawir holds a BSc Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University, United States of America and an MBA from Sheffield Business School, United Kingdom. He has more than 25 years of work experiences in multinational companies. He has worked for GE Electric as Manufacturing Engineer, for Phillips as Production Manager, for Seagate as Director of Human Resources and currently serving Silterra as Vice President of Human Resources.

Munawir has an interesting profile, with combination of engineering, manufacturing, and human resource experiences in both mid to Senior Level management. The early years of his career is spent in engineering and production management where he experiences industrial engineering work such as design line layout, time study, process flow, product transfer, yield improvement, skills training, and leading his Company to ISO certification, etc.

In the last 10 years of his career he has ventured into Senior level management and had covered tactical as well as strategic functions in policy development and organizational development work covering operational, human resources, sales and marketing as well as strategic matters. His achievements spans over areas such as Talent development, attraction and retention strategies, succession planning, performance based management, organization development, legal matters and business development.

In his current position, Munawir oversees SilTerra's global HR operation covering sites in Malaysia, Taiwan, and USA.
