Mr. Amir Hamzah is currently Head of Department ERAS, ESPEK Sdn. Bhd. Prior to this, he has held several posts such as Head of Laboratory, ESPEK Research and Advisory Services (ERAS), RISDA Chemistry, RISDA Soil Laboratory and Science Teacher, Sekolah Sri Cempaka.

He holds a Master of Environment (M.Env.) degree from the Universiti Putra Malaysia (2012), a B.Sc.(Chemistry) from the University of Windsor, Canada (1995), Diploma in Laboratory and Data Management, University of Wageningen, The Netherlands, Diploma in Fertilizer Quality Control, Faridabad Fertilizer Quality Control Institute, Haryana, India and received various professional certificates.

Currently he is pursuing the PhD of Environment in Universiti Putra Malaysia. He has been actively involved in soil, plant and fertilizer analysis and training. Besides, he also has vast experience in Laboratory Management relating to ISO/IEC 17025. He possesses special interests in Laboratory Management Consultant, Fertilization Program (Rubber and Oil Palm), Composting (Oil palm Mills Waste), Bio-organic fertilizer and EIA issues and consultancy work.

He has also served as registered chemist, qualified lead assessor for ISO/IEC 17025, panels for several Technical Working Groups of SIRIM, DSM, Bio-Technology-JKM and Syarikat Teraju Korporat. He has been and is also Chairman for Agriculture Laboratory Association of Malaysia, Chairman of Majlis Institut Latihan dan Penyelidikan in Bangi and a Honorable Secretary, Malaysian Soil Science Society (MSSS).
