Advertising Workshop

"Creativity in advertising helps to define the relationship between the brand and its user. Creative advertisements are the results of understanding what makes people tick. Hence, one can learn all about it through this workshop".

........Participants: Students from Institutions Higher Learning (Colleges / Universities within Malaysia)

........Entry Fee: RM 5 per pax

>PURPOSE:

> To expose and expand the student's knowledge on the advertising industry and the creativity needed in producing an interesting advertisements.

> As a stepping stone for students from all over Malaysia to interact and exchange ideas with one another.

 

>Title: "Fishing For Ideas"

>Speaker: Stephen Bong

Stephen Bong is a principal lecturer at Lim Kok Wing Institute of Creative Technology (LICT). He was the former President of Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia.(4As') and was 30 years experience in the advertising industry.

>Radio Ad Competition

> This competition will be the climax of the workshop. All participants will automatically participate in this competition.

> Participants will be briefed on the rules and regulations of the competition during the workshop.

> Participants are given two hours (including lunch break) to come up with a 20 to 30 second radio advertisement script.

> The script must be in English / Malay.

> Each group will be randomly called out to present their radio advertisement.

> How to Enter

1. Participants must be students of any Institute of higer learning within Malaysia.

2. Participation is based on first come first serve basis. Entries for the workshop and competition must be enclosed with an entry fee of RM5 per person. Photocopy of the entry form is permitted.

3. All participants of this workshop will automatically participate in the advertising competition. The Principal's or Dean's signature with the official stamp is needed on each entry form.
