APASWE
The Asian & Pacific Association of Social Work Education
(APASWE) is an affiliate of the International Association of Social Work, which is a non-profit and non-sectarian organization for Schools of Social Work in Asia-Pacific. With a membership drawn from educational institutions, it promotes academic and professional standards of social work education and facilitates inter-school cooperation and collaboration in the region.
School of Social Sciences, USM The school offers a wide range of disciplines at the undergraduate level in the fields of Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Development Planning and Planning, and Social Work. At the graduate level, the school offers programs by coursework in Master of Public Administration, Master in Economic Management, Master in International and Diplomacy Studies (European Studies), and Master in Social Work. It is the oldest university in Malaysia in social work and the first to offer the
MSW.
Institut Sosial Malaysia ISM is an agency of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. Its objective is to become one of the most renowned center of excellence in the field of social policy and social development. It is also a training hub for civil servants and other social work practitioners. The institute conducts training courses, seminars, workshops and forums as well as organizing major conferences in social development.
