Bandar Seri Begawan - World Muslim communities are considering the
Islamic Gold Dinar as a complimentary currency, a leading scholar Professor
Dr. Ahmah Khamir yesterday said here yesterday.
He was presenting his working paper on "Islamic Gold Dinar" at the
International Seminar on Islamic Business in the Era of Globalisation,
in the Brunei capital.
He said that Gold Dinar was alternative money for social, economical,
political and religious perspectives to counter the effect of the social-economic
impact of the current money interest based the monetary system.
He also said that the Islamic Gold Dinar or any gold payment systems
has excellent future prospects for a number of reasons.
The Gold Dinar seems ready to take on the world both Muslims and non-Muslims
with the developments in the Information Technology and Internet, he
added.
It will be implemented as a complimentary currency along with other
international currencies, he said.
