Malaysian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences provides a platform for academics, researchers and pharmacists from Malaysia and around the world to communicate and share research findings and insight in the fields of pharmacy and pharmaceutical research.
Established in 2003, the journal publishes original, scholarly contributions in the form of original research articles, limited number of short communications and reviews.
Original articles: original research work/studies that are previously unpublished.
Short communications: reports work that are preliminary in nature but merits immediate publication. Usually up to 1500 words.
Review articles: Comprehensive, authoritative description of the subject matter within the scope of the Journal.
Manuscripts submitted for publication must be original, previously unpublished and not under consideration for publication or appear elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis).
Malaysian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences considers submissions from the following areas:

Pharmaceutical Analysis; Modelling Studies; Synthesis and Structure-activity Relationship Studies; Metabolomics (e.g. Plants, Pharmaceuticals); Biologically active Compounds and Extracts; Isolation and Structural Elucidation of Natural Products.

Malaysian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.
