| The Sanggar Sanjung Award is a recognition conferred by USM to its academic and administrative staff to honour the creative and innovative spirit as well as reward their hard work and dedication. |

| Commencing in 2001, staff who have enhanced USM's reputation by attaining excellence in contributing to the university's performance index are feted at a glitzy event tagged the Sanggar Sanjung Award Gala. |
