ADWAVE, is an acronym for AwarD Winning AdVertisements Exhibition. It was given birth in 1997, a unique idea by the Dean School of Communication, USM, Dr. Mohammed Zin Nordin. Now, ADWAVE is an annual project organized primarily by the final year Persuasive Communication students, School of Communication, USM.

ADWAVE's sole purpose from the start was to expose students to award winning advertisements and to serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas in the world of advertising. ADWAVE takes great pride in trying to generate positive exposure to the mass public and students of higher learning with regards to the essential basics of advertising.

ADWAVE is the pioneer in organising such competition as it is a project, which has never been done by other educational institutes before. Since the beginning of the millennium, we have extended our wings beyond the Malaysian boundaries, reaching students as far as Thailand and Singapore.

As mentioned, ADWAVE exhibits award-winning artwork, advertisements that gained recognition from namely the Kancil Awards and masterpieces that had won the previous advertising competitions organised by ADWAVE.

Therefore, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us in realizing and experiencing ADWAVE 2004: Odyssey Beyond Limits.
