Introduction
ASAIHL and Universiti Sains Malaysia would like to invite higher
education institutions to participate in the 2008 ASAIHL Conference
on University Autonomy: Interpretations and Variations.
Objectives
The main objective of this conference is to provide a forum for higher
education institutions and educators to present researches and to
exchange views on University Autonomy, especially in the different
interpretations of the meaning of University Autonomy and the various
different ways of achieving autonomy. In addition, this conference also
hopes to promote perspective of the private sectors towards University
autonomy and how it will enhance and further encourage collaboration
between public and private universities and also that of the industries.
