ABSTRACTS AND PUBLICATIONS
Authors wishing to present papers are kindly requested to complete the registration form and return it to the Forum Secretariat. An abstract of 150-200 words (typed single-space) should be sent to the secretariat by 15th September 2000. Completed papers must arrive not later than 15th October. All accepted papers will be published in the Forum’s Proceedings. Selected papers will be published in the Journal of Alternative Political Economy.
PARTICIPANTS
The Forum shall assemble academia, business community, public administrators, executives from the government and NGOs, financial institutions, private sector, professionals, entrepreneurs and interested individuals.

Goethe Institute; The British Council, Da'wa Foundation-Scotland; World Islamic Trading Organisation (WITO); Highland Biomedical Research Foundation (HBRF); Muslim Lawyers Association-Germany; Weimar Institute-Germany, Islamic Development Agency of Albania and Comunidad Islámica en España
The organisers believe that this conference would not only attract academia and practictioners (Muslims and Non Muslims alike) in a vast areas of concern for the development of Umma worldwide but also enterpreneurs and business people from both parts of the world to share and work together in tandem. The conference is specially designed so as to cover both the academic elements and also the practical business endeavours. It is much hoped that it will trigger the realisation of a new perspective or alternative to the world economic paradigm, vis-a-vis within the context of a new global Islamic social, political and economic order.
