The theme for PECIPTA 2007 is Innovating towards
Sustainability.
Since
this is the fourth event in the series, the organisers consider it
timely for a makeover by proposing a new approach that gives
emphasis to the EXPO’s attributes as follows:
-
Academic
recognition for publications arising from development of
research products being exhibited;
-
Securing
wider participation of the industrial sector to enable as many
research products as possible that are being exhibited to
obtain assistance and support for follow-on development and
subsequent commercialization;

Expanding
the exhibition to include private institutions of higher
learning in the country and universities/institutes from
abroad; and
-
Inviting
innovation enablers to come together and participate as a
concerted group including myIPO, venture capitalists, lawyers
involved with intellectual property rights and research park
developers.
