PECIPTA 2007 PARTICIPATION RULES & REGULATIONS

This exhibition is open to all local and foreign universities and university colleges. An exhibitor is permitted to submit as many entries as he/she wishes but a separate
Entry Form shall be used for each submission.

The
Entry Form should be submitted via your institution to the organiser of PECIPTA 2007 by 5.00 pm,
25th May 2007. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt of submission.

The following are not acceptable for the exhibition:

Inventions/creative works which are duplication of others.

Inventions/creative works contrary to public order, morals, public health and welfare.

Inventions/creative works which may be subject matters of IP contentions.

Entries to the Exhibition are divided into 3 categories and the exhibitor chooses the category in which his/her exhibition is to be placed. The categories are:-

Inventions and creative works for booth display only.
-
Inventions and creative works for display in the Main Gallery.
Such inventions and creative works must be from Malaysian Institutions of Higher Learning and have been commercialized with sales or have signed technology licensing agreements. (Please provide evidence)

Inventions for Evaluation
Only inventions that have NOT won any medals at National or International level competitions can be placed in this category.

Intending exhibitors shall note that in many countries participation in exhibitions may constitute “disclosure” under their respective patent laws. Exhibitors are advised to take the necessary action to protect their patent and registration rights against forfeiture of such rights due to such “disclosure”. The
organisers of PECIPTA 2007 shall not be liable for any forfeiture of patent rights suffered by any
exhibitor due to his/her participation in PECIPTA 2007.

The organisers accept no responsibility for loss, theft, damage due to fire or other causes, or personal injury suffered, during the
exhibition or in transit.

In the event the exhibition is postponed, shortened or extended due to any cause whatsoever beyond the control of the
organiser, the organiser shall not be held responsible for any loss incurred by the
exhibitor, directly or indirectly, attributable to the elements of nature, force majeure or orders and directives imposed by any government authority. Under such circumstances, the money paid by the
exhibitor, any part thereof, is refundable at the sole discretion of the Organizer.

Certificates of participation will be given to all exhibitors.
