PECIPTA 07 endeavors to showcase the outcomes, inventions and innovative processes derived from the work of all the public and private institutions of higher learning in Malaysia including participating universities/institutes from abroad and to serve as a platform for such institutions to network with each other with the view towards venturing into joint development of prototypes and onwards into product commercialization.

PECIPTA 07 creates a platform and space for exhibitors to exhibit any product/invention/idea/ concept that has innovation & sustainability elements and is a product which has undergone commercialization. To promote such products a competition will be held during the exhibition. Exhibitors interested in participating in the competition can apply by filling up the registration form. PECIPTA also creates an avenue for organizations to venture into joint development and research collaborations. PECIPTA provides assistance in the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) & Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). PECIPTA 07 will be graced by the presence of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, The Right Honourable Dato' Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi, who will deliver the Keynote Address.
