ABOUT WIF
Malaysia desires to be a part of the worldwide sustainable development efforts and was proud to be a part of the inaugural
World Innovation Forum (WIF) convened in the Netherlands in 2006. For this year, Universiti Sains Malaysia was selected to hold the forum. The forum discusses latest issues on technological, sociological and research trends in innovating for sustainable development, with expert guidance from an international panel of speakers and chairpersons. WIF is seen to be useful to increase the confidence factor within the local industrial sector and potential overseas partners regarding to the pool of research expertise available in the local Institutions of Higher Learning and using the PECIPTA 2007 as the bridge to help bringing the two parties together to develop downstream activities through the exhibition of R&D products from abroad.
