USM is the first university in the world to have a team of Mental Health Facilitator (MHF) Trainers. In conjunction with the Brain Awareness Week (March 10-14) 2008, 18 USM faculty and staff were trained and certified as MHF Trainers by the National Board for Certified Counselors International in conjunction with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
