Novel Research & Innovation Competition 2015

GENERAL TERMS

• Each school is only allowed to send a maximum of ONE participation.


• Each presentation must be done based on the given theme which is “NURTURING BORDERLESS IMAGINATION THROUGH INNOVATION.”


• Each group consists of THREE students only along with a teacher advisor.


• Please fill in the entry form in Attachment Lampiran A, B & C.


• The final competition will be held on 17th of August 2015.


• Food will be provided for participants and teacher advisor only.


• Participation and presentation can be sent either in Bahasa Malaysia OR English.


• Presentation can be done in forms of product/ slide/ brochure/ poster and etc.


• Project sent must never been contested outside of school.

COMPETITION FORMAT

• 10+5 (10 minutes is allocated for presentation, 5 minutes for question and answer session with judges). Total time given is 15 minutes.


• Time will start as soon as participants begin their presentation.


• First bell will be rung once when presentation time reaches 8 minutes.


• The second bell will be rung twice when the time ends at the 10th minute.


• Marks will be deducted after second bell is rung.


• Decision of judges’ panel is final. Any appeal or protest will not be entertained.

MARKING CRITERIAS

• INNOVATION/ CREATIVITY – 40%


• IDEA / CONTENT – 30%


• USAGE OF LANGUAGE– 15%


• PRESENTATION STYLE– 15%
