Community Research and Innovation Competition.

CoRIC is a platform for talented young researchers to pitch their ideas on transforming the community toward a better and sustainable future. The ideas are generated through a contemporary research and innovation. Through CoRIC, the “Power of Ideas” is greatly established and this ensures the acknowledgement of its commercial value in providing a solution to current global issues.

Universiti Sains Malaysia is currently under APEX transformation programme initieated by the Malaysia Ministry of Education. In order to collate the thrusts of APEX transformation that is "Sustainability", CoRIC indeed plays a significant role in strengthening any idea toward sustainability.

CoRIC as a new category introduced under the National Research and Innovation Competition.

CoRIC was introduced as a sub-competition under NRIC since 2011 and was successfully held continuously for the following years. Since CoRIC was introduced, we have been receiving numbers of participation from universities around Malaysia.

In preserving the authenticity of CoRIC’s judging, we have combined our judges from various field which include representative from the community, academician, not forgetting, those from industries.
