YOU ARE THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR!

In conjunction with Asian Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium (APPS) which is going to be held on June 2009, we are now organising a Video Presentation Contest. As long as you are videomaking lovers and are willing to work for it, you are welcomed to join this contest and bring those prizes home!

Objectives:

1. To expose participants coming from different countries around Asia pacific region with each other’s culture in pharmacy practice.
2. To foster the relationship among participants of APPS.
3. To give participants the chance to develop their talent and skills.

The theme for this contest is “Traditional versus Modern Pharmacy Practice in my country”.

Rules & regulations:

1. Each country that is participating in APPS is required to send ONLY ONE entry per country. Participation can be either as personal or in group. For example
1. Malaysia    -      1 video by Group ABC
2. Thailand    -     1 video by Mr. XYZ

*If there are several groups from the same country that wanted to participate, the local organization (eg. Malaysia’s MyPSA or Australia’s NAPSA) can hold a preliminary contest on your own before APPS and send in the best to represent your country during APPS*

2. Photo and video taken should be related to the theme given, that is:

“Traditional versus Modern Pharmacy Practice in my Country”

3. All photos and videos should be the original work. Plagiarism or obtaining from other sources is not allowed.
4. All contestants will be required to present their works during APPS.
5. Details are as follow:
1. Duration: 5-7 minutes for each presentation
2. Format of video (can be either one of these):

1.  Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt)
2.  Windows Movie Maker (.MSWMM)
3.  flash player (.exe)
4. .AVI
5. .MPEG
6. .mov

6. Marks will be given according to creativity, content and the manner of presentation.
7. THREE winners will awarded as champion, first-runner up and second runner up.
8. Judges’ decisions are final.
9. Registration Deadline: 10 June 2009. Any late registration will not be entertained.
10. Once registered, if participants are not allowed to withdraw from the contest.
11. Soft copy of the video in CD format is to be submitted to the APPS secretariat (Registration Department) upon arrival (26th June 2009).

 

How to register:

       Just fill in the details of your entry (saved in Microsoft Word doc.) and send it via attachment to APPSvideocontest@gmail.com before 10 June 2009. The details of your entry should include:

1. Name of Group/Contestant
2. Contact person name and email
3. Country of Origin
4. Video Format
5. Duration of Video
6. National organization responsible (eg. MyPSA, NAPSA etc)
